Who are we ?

Roatan Natural Soapworks was created with the idea of creating a local artisanal business that provides jobs and training and at the same time provides visitors to the islands with a unique, quality souvenir-product of our beautiful islands. Local residents are also benefitting from our products which use ingredients and home-remedies used for centuries in these parts.

Cold process soap making is a craft that originated in ancient Rome and is the ‘true’ art of creating soap from scratch using lye, base oils and naturally extracted fragrances, we don’t produce the melt and pour soaps common to supermarket shelves. Our soaps use all naturally derived ingredients (even our essential oils are distilled) and our aim is to use what mother nature has given us for healing, soothing and moisturizing while impacting our island environment as little as possible.
